The South West Zonal Coordinator, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mr Emmanuel Attah, has warned corps members currently under-going orientation course in Ekiti to shun all forms of social vices, particularly internet fraud and cultism.

Attah gave the warning on Thursday, while addressing corps members during his official visit to the NYSC Permanent Orientation camp at Ise-Orun-Ekiti, Ise/Orun Local Government Area of the state.

The coordinator also cautioned the corps members against culpable acts like the get-rich-quick syndrome which according to him has sent many Nigerian youths to their early grave.

He advised them to abide by all NYSC bye laws and dress codes, stressing that anyone found violating the laws would be shown the way out.

“The NYSC uniform is our proud identity. It must be used in line with the approved dress code throughout your service year.

“I also enjoin you not to indulge in any act that could drag the NYSC scheme in the mud. Shun cultism, internet fraud and the get-rich-quick syndrome,” Attach warned.

In her remarks, the NYSC Coordinator in the state, Mrs Emmanuella Okpongete, thanked the Zonal Coordinator for visiting the camp to encourage the corps members to be good ambassadors of the scheme. (NAN)
