Mr Joseph Olatunji, representing Ekiti South West Constituency 2, at the Ekiti House of Assembly, has urged Nigerians to pray for peace, unity, and progress of the nation.

Olatunji, who made the call in a Christmas message in Ado-Ekiti on Friday, pointed out that intercession for peace and unity was crucial for the survival and progress of the nation.

“We need to give thanks to God almighty because despite all the odds, we are still a living witness of the 2020 Christmas celebrations.

“I, therefore, urge us all to use this period to pray for peace and unity and show love to one another.

“This is very crucial because peace and unity are the fabrics that hold us together as a nation in our journey for development and progress,” he said.

The lawmaker also solicited the cooperation of the people of Ekiti, particularly his constituents in the quest for peace, tranquillity, and national unity.

He reiterated his commitment to ensure that his constituents get the dividends of democracy.
