The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warned Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State to stop attacking Senator Lawal Adamu Usman, commonly known as Mr. LAA, who currently serves as a senator representing the Kaduna Central Senatorial District.
According to the PDP, governor Uba Sani’s actions are destructive and threats to democratic institutions.
Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications to the PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Yusuf Dingyadi, addressing a press conference on Friday in Kaduna, accused the APC of being in “destructive mode,” sponsoring propagandists to attack performing PDP legislators and showcasing decampees in a sponsored arena.
Dingyadi emphasised that the PDP’s elected members are performing well in their constituencies, surpassing those of the APC.
Despite threats and intimidation, he said the PDP members remain committed to sustaining development and would not abandon the party.
Dingyadi, also accused the Kaduna state government of using political differences to destroy education in the state.
He alleged the Kaduna State government withheld donated teaching materials and uniforms, and delayed commissioning buildings made by Mr LAA.
“Mr LAA allocated over 500 million Naira for empowerment, but the state government showed no interest.
“Instead, they hired propagandists to abuse Senator LAA on radio and social media.
“The performance of Senator LAA in two years surpassed that of Senator Uba Sani while he was in the National Assembly.
“Senator LAA also initiated a school project in Kaduna, which was not realized due to the state government’s lack of support,”he alleged.
The Senior Special Assistant therefore, urged Governor Uba Sani to focus on development and governance, rather than bullying people and destroying the state’s image.
“Kaduna state belongs to the entire northern region, and destroying its image is not acceptable.
“The governor should concentrate on doing what is right, rather than destroying the institution.
“Personalizing enmity towards Senator Lawal Usman Adamu is unnecessary, The governor, deputy governor, and commissioner of finance should not prioritize their personal interests over the state’s needs”,he advised.
Dingyadi assured that despite political challenges, the party would survive and remain a strong political force in 2027.
