NAHCON Successfully Airlifts 4,329 Pilgrims to Madinah within 24 Hours

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has successfully airlifted 4,329 pilgrims to Madinah within a 24-hour period as part of the ongoing Hajj 2025 operations.

This brings the total number of pilgrims airlifted so far to 4,382 since the commencement of the operation under the leadership of NAHCON Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Usman.

According to reports, 11 flights have departed from various state airports, including one operated by UMZA Airlines carrying 305 pilgrims from Nasarawa State and 3 pilgrims from Adamawa State. The flight departed Abuja for Madinah at 7:12 pm on Saturday.

A total of 60,000 Nigerian pilgrims are expected to perform Hajj this year. Reports from Madinah indicate that the Nigerian pilgrims are receiving a warm welcome upon arrival, with many expressing gratitude to NAHCON for the arrangements and wishing for a successful and safe pilgrimage.
