The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has introduced Camp Court in Ekiti to prosecute erring corps members.

The Ekiti NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs Mary Chikezie, while briefing newsmen after the Oath Taking Ceremony of the 2020 Batch B Stream 1A held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Emure-Ekiti, Emure Local Government Area.

Chikezie warned the corps members against any act that contravened the scheme rules and regulations, adding that any corps members that violate the rules would be shown the way out.

“I, therefore, urge all corps members to adhere to the rules and regulations to avoid being tried by the newly introduced Camp Court.

“We have also ensured that necessary COVID-19 protocols are in place, to ensure the safety of all corps members on camp.

In his address, Gov. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, urged Nigeria youths to devote their time for nation building through self-development.

Fayemi, who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mr Michael Awopetu, called for concerted efforts to mould the Nigeria youths into better leaders for tomorrow.

“The task of moulding our youths to be responsible leaders of tomorrow cannot be left to the government alone. It should be a collective responsibility of all.

“I therefore called on corporate organisations, Non-Governmental Organisations as well as well-meaning individuals to join hands in building a good future for our youths,” Fayemi said.

The Oath of allegiance was administered to 653 new corps members posted to Ekiti by the state Chief Judge, Justice Ayodeji Daramola.
