The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has confirmed May 14, 2026, as the official kickoff date for the airlift of intending pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj exercise.
In a statement issued by the agency’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Datti, authorities said preparations for the pilgrimage are progressing on schedule, with the first batch of pilgrims expected to depart on the announced date.
The development signals the formal commencement of outbound flight operations for Kaduna State’s contingent, as part of broader nationwide arrangements for the annual Islamic pilgrimage.
The agency underscored its operational readiness, assuring stakeholders that it has finalized comprehensive logistics to support a seamless and efficient departure process.
These include coordinated travel arrangements, health compliance protocols, and structured orientation programmes designed to prepare pilgrims for the spiritual and administrative requirements of the exercise.
It reiterated its commitment to delivering a safe, orderly, and well-managed Hajj operation, emphasizing that all critical components have been aligned to minimize disruptions and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Intending pilgrims have been urged to maintain close engagement with official communication channels and adhere strictly to timelines, guidelines, and instructions that will be issued ahead of departure.
The agency also acknowledged the cooperation of stakeholders and expressed optimism for a successful 2026 Hajj exercise.
