Nexus Youth Forum Mourns Kauru Victims, Condemns Brutal Attack

The Nexus Youth Forum, Kaduna State Chapter, has expressed deep sorrow over the deadly attack on Naridon (Kizakoro), Kamaru Ward, Chawai Chiefdom, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, describing it as a barbaric act against innocent citizens.

The forum said the attack claimed the lives of about 30 people, including women and young children, while six others sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment.

This was contained in a statement signed by the State Chairman of the forum, Comr. Mansir Adamu Chawai, and issued by Kelechi Micheal, Director of Media and Publicity, Nexus Youth Forum, Kaduna State Chapter.

The forum said it was deeply saddened and heartbroken by the gruesome attack on the peaceful community, noting that the incident had brought immense grief to the people of Naridon (Kizakoro), Chawai Chiefdom and the entire Kauru Local Government Area.

It strongly condemned what it described as a senseless and barbaric act of violence against innocent citizens, stressing that such attacks had no place in a civilised society.

According to the forum, the attack undermines the peace, unity and development that communities deserve and should never be allowed to persist.

The forum extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the people of Naridon (Kizakoro), the entire Chawai Chiefdom and residents of Kauru Local Government Area over the painful and irreparable loss.

It prayed for Almighty God to grant eternal rest to the souls of those killed, comfort the grieving families and grant the injured speedy and complete recovery.

The forum called on relevant security agencies to intensify efforts to apprehend the perpetrators of the heinous crime and ensure they were brought to justice.

It stressed that the protection of lives and property remained a fundamental responsibility, urging authorities to take every necessary measure to prevent a recurrence of such tragic incidents.

The forum reaffirmed its commitment to peace, justice and the advancement of communities, saying it stood in solidarity with the victims and the entire Chawai community during the difficult period.

It also urged residents to remain calm, law-abiding and continue cooperating with security agencies as investigations into the attack continue.

The forum prayed for Almighty God to heal the land, strengthen the bereaved families and restore lasting peace to Chawai Chiefdom, Kauru Local Government Area and Kaduna State as a whole.
