Clerics in Kaduna North Local Government Area have endorsed Umar Abdullahi, popularly known as Bobo, as their preferred candidate for the Kaduna North Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement followed Abdullahi’s formal declaration of interest to contest the seat on the party,  “Accord”, as contained in documents submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

In an affidavit filed in support of his nomination, Abdullahi declared under oath that he was seeking election into the House of Representatives to represent Kaduna North Federal Constituency.

He affirmed that the information contained in the document was true and correct to the best of his knowledge.

The nomination form showed that he is contesting on the platform of the party, Accord, with membership number A/KD/KN/0000500, while the constituency code is FC/150/KD.

According to the document, Abdullahi was born on May 5, 1993, in Kaduna and is engaged in business.

The clerics said they endorsed Abdullahi after assessing his record of humanitarian service and commitment to improving the welfare of vulnerable people.

They said, Abdullahi, being the President of the Umar Abdullahi Charity Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, is known for supporting communities through various humanitarian initiatives.

According to them, the foundation has provided assistance to orphans, sponsored the education of vulnerable children and offered regular support to widows through feeding and other welfare programmes.

They said his philanthropic activities and personal commitment to community development convinced them that he possesses the qualities required to represent Kaduna North in the National Assembly.

The clerics further stated that they were sponsoring his aspirations under the leadership of Malam Adam Idris, Mallamawan Falakin Zazzau.

They expressed confidence that Abdullahi’s emergence would strengthen grassroots representation and promote initiatives aimed at improving the wellbeing of constituents.
